Before each battle, gladiators prepare thoroughly, and this applies not only to physical fitness – strong muscles and knowledge of sword fighting techniques – but also to armor, shields, and everything else a gladiator can take into battle. But your gladiator is physically strong and masterful with a sword, so all that remains is to prepare the rest of his equipment, which includes a sword and armor, including protection. As you’ve already noticed, you have the option of equipping your gladiator with nothing, sending him into battle with just a sword. You can also use wooden armor, which honestly isn’t a great idea, or craft him with sturdy steel armor. The latter is probably best, and to achieve this, you’ll need to learn how to combine similar armor materials. Once you’ve crafted your gladiator’s equipment, head into battle for victory!
