Players can begin playing in the medium mode after successfully completing 3 levels of the easy mode. Once they have completed 5 rounds, the hard mode challenges become available. There is a time limit to complete the task of each round in any mode and remove all the jewel tiles from the playing field. The timer can be found on the top left panel. This panel also displays information about points earned and an icon that, when clicked, allows you to shuffle all the tiles on the playing field. This last option can be used up to five times per level. To complete the task, the player must find pairs of identical tiles on the playing field that are arranged so that they can be connected by a straight line (not diagonal) or a line with no more than two right angles.
