The haunted castle where Scooby-Doo and his friend Shaggy find themselves consists of many rooms that the heroes will visit in each level of the game. Once in any room, the heroes must complete only one task: safely reach the exit. The exit will be indicated by an arrow that appears on the screen at the beginning of each level. However, the path to the exit will be cluttered with all sorts of traps, including chasms, sharp spikes, and more. The player must determine how to avoid these traps to help the characters complete the main objective. To do this, they must carefully examine the playing field, trying to find objects that will eliminate the dangers. For example, these could be levers, bags, and so on. Interacting with any object is accomplished using the mouse.
