Hold down the left mouse button and pull the slingshot back, using the white dotted line to aim. Then release the button to launch the bird. To complete the round, you need to destroy all the monsters. Simply smashing their barricades won’t be enough; you need to hit the aliens themselves. You’ll have several attempts to complete the task. If you fail, you’ll have to start the level over again.
